About Me
I have been living on the south Oregon Coast for over 30 years. Emigrating from the east coast, I can vividly remember my first look at the Pacific Ocean in Curry County. It was one of the most beautiful sites I had ever seen. To this day one of my favorite things to do with visiting guests is to hike Cape Sebastian, in my opinion one of the wonders of the south coast!
My husband Les , a Custom guitar builder, and I raised our two daughters here, both are college graduates. We have been extremely pleased with the education they received in Gold Beach, both graduated with honors. Our oldest daughter, Laura along with her husband Brandon and their sons Dylan and Kyler purchased a home in the Gold Beach area. Laura is currently working with me at Century 21. Her wonderful knowledge and love of the Gold Beach area and all it has to offer make her a great partner.
I served as an elected member of the Central Curry School District for many years and as a volunteer member of the Budget Committee. I would be happy to answer your questions about our District's education. I am also a member of the Curry Health Foundation Board of Directors.
Together, Les and I founded the Pistol River Concert Association, a concert series that has been bringing high quality music to the local community for over thirty years.
I spent twelve years working for the Forest Service in Visitor Information. I enjoy being able to share my love for this area with visitors and new people moving into the area. I served 2 terms as President of the Rotary Club of Gold Beach, a great organization that works worldwide to make positive changes. And I am honored to have been nominated and awarded Gold Beach Citizen of the Year for 2007.
